Brilliance Intelligence™ – Award Verification and Industry Integrity
What Is Brilliance Intelligence™?
Brilliance Intelligence™ is an educational resource dedicated to transparency, integrity, and informed decision-making within the global recognition industry.
As the original home of the Brilliance Awards™ brand, established in 2014 and operated by BOC Global Events and Training Group, we have spent over a decade building a recognition programme that we believe sets the standard for what genuine, credible, independently judged business recognition should look like.
We created Brilliance Intelligence™ because we believe that standards should be shared openly, honestly, and in a way that helps every organisation make informed decisions about where they invest their time, money, and professional reputation.
The recognition industry is not regulated. Any organisation can launch an awards programme. Not all of them deserve your trust. Brilliance Intelligence™ exists to help you tell the difference.
The Brilliance Intelligence™ Verification Framework
Every organisation considering entering any awards programme — including ours — should apply this framework before they commit. Genuine credibility welcomes scrutiny. Programmes that deflect these questions are telling you something important.
Pillar 1 — Provenance and Historical Longevity
Genuine prestige is built over time. It cannot be manufactured quickly, purchased, or fabricated retrospectively. A programme with a genuine history leaves traces that accumulate naturally and that any interested party can independently verify.
What to check:
When was the programme founded — and can that founding date be independently verified? Search for the programme name on Google filtered by date. Use the Wayback Machine at web.archive.org to see the historical record of their website. Look for press coverage, social media activity, and winner announcements that predate any recent investment in visibility.
Does the programme have published winners’ lists going back through every year it claims to have run? Are those winners named specifically: organisations and individuals that can be independently searched, found, and contacted? Do those past winners publicly and enthusiastically associate themselves with their recognition?
Are there genuine photographs from past ceremonies: real events, real venues, real people — that form a verifiable photographic archive of the programme’s history?
The Brilliance Awards™ standard: The Brilliance Awards™ has been operating continuously since 2014. Our winners’ lists go back to 2014 and are publicly available at the Brilliance Awards Winners Page. Our ceremony photographs taken at real venues in London and Dubai are available at brillawards.com/brilliance-gallery. Our social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn were established in 2014, the same year the programme launched. Every element of our history is independently verifiable.
Pillar 2 — Legal Foundation and Corporate Standing
Transparency begins with legal accountability. A credible awards programme is operated by a credible, registered, identifiable organisation, one whose corporate history, directorship, and registered address are all matters of public record.
What to check:
Search for the organising company on Companies House at companieshouse.gov.uk. When were they incorporated? What is their registered address? Who are the directors? Does the company’s incorporation date predate the programme’s claimed founding?
Check whether the company has changed its name. A business registered under a different name until recently is not the same as one that has been operating under its current identity for years. Companies House shows the full history of any UK-registered company, including previous names and the date of any changes.
Are the people behind the programme named and verifiable? Can you find them on LinkedIn? Do their professional profiles reflect genuine careers in relevant fields? Do they publicly acknowledge their involvement with the programme?
Does the programme hold any trademark registrations? A registered trademark on a programme name or logo is a verifiable legal record of established ownership — searchable through the UK Intellectual Property Office at trademarks.ipo.gov.uk.
The Brilliance Awards™ standard: Brilliance Awards™ and the International Brilliance Awards™ are operated by BOC Global Events and Training Group, Company Registration No. 07660435, registered in England and Wales. The International Brilliance Awards™ associated logos are registered trademarks. Brilliance Awards Ltd is a registered company serving as the formal corporate home of the Brilliance Awards™ family brand. All of these records are publicly available and independently verifiable.
Pillar 3 — Judging Integrity and Process Transparency
Recognition is only worth having if the process behind it is genuinely rigorous and genuinely independent. The judging process is the heart of any awards programme, and it should be transparent enough to withstand scrutiny.
What to check:
Are the judges named publicly? Can you find them independently on LinkedIn? Do their professional profiles reflect genuine expertise in the fields they are judging? Have they publicly acknowledged their involvement with the programme?
Is the judging process blind, meaning identifying details are removed from entries before any judge reads them? Blind judging is the only process that ensures recognition is based purely on the quality of the work rather than the reputation of the organisation behind it.
Are there published judging criteria that entries are assessed against? Can you find those criteria on the programme’s website? Are they specific enough to be meaningful or so broad that almost any work could qualify?
The Brilliance Awards™ standard: Every entry submitted to the Brilliance Awards™ family is assessed through a 100% independent, blind judging process. All identifying details are removed before any judge reads a submission. Our judging panel of 25+ named, verifiable senior professionals drawn from organisations including Microsoft, Nokia, PwC, Cisco, Apple, and Tata Consultancy Services, assesses every entry against published criteria. Our judging criteria are available at brillawards.com/judging-criteria. Not every entry wins. Recognition is earned, not purchased, not awarded by default, and not available to everyone who enters.
The Seal of Brilliance™
Every winner and finalist of the Brilliance Awards™ family programmes receives an official Seal of Brilliance™ – a verified digital mark confirming their recognition.
Each Seal is issued exclusively by BOC Global Events and Training Group, tied to a specific verified entry in our historical records, and linked to the programme year in which it was awarded. The Seal of Brilliance™ is not transferable and cannot be issued by any other organisation.
If you have received a seal, badge, or digital mark claiming association with Brilliance Awards™ that was not issued through our official channels at brillawards.com or brillianceawards.co.uk, it is not genuine. Contact us immediately at info@brillawards.com or awards@boc-uk.com

Apply These Standards to Us
We created Brilliance Intelligence™ not as a promotional tool but as a genuine educational resource, and we apply every standard described here to ourselves.
We welcome scrutiny. We invite verification. And we are confident in what any organisation will find when they look.
The Brilliance Awards™ family — including the International Brilliance Awards™ — has been operating continuously since 2014. Our history is documented. Our judges are named. And our commitment to the standards described on this page has never wavered in 13 years.

Why does Brilliance Intelligence™ exist?
The recognition industry is not regulated. Any organisation can launch an awards programme regardless of its experience, credibility, or intentions. What are the three pillars of Brilliance Intelligence™?
The three pillars are Provenance and Historical Longevity – verifying the documented history of a programme; Legal Foundation and Corporate Standing – verifying the registered identity of the organising company; and Judging Integrity and Process Transparency – verifying the rigour and independence of the judging process.
What is the Seal of Brilliance™?
The Seal of Brilliance™ is an official digital mark issued exclusively by Brilliance Awards™ and BOC Global Events and Training Group to verified winners and finalists of the Brilliance Awards™ family programmes. Our official entry platform is brillianceawards.awardstage.com. If you receive a communication claiming to be from Brilliance Awards™ that does not originate from these channels, contact us directly to verify its authenticity.
Can I apply the Brilliance Intelligence™ framework to the Brilliance Awards™ itself?
Yes, and we encourage it. We created this framework with full awareness that it applies to us as much as to any other programme.
