The Longest-Standing and Most Documented Brilliance Awards Programme in Global Business Recognition
The Brilliance Awards™ and International Brilliance Awards™ are established global recognition programmes operating under this name. We present this position based on a documented, independently verifiable history.
Founded in 2014 by BOC Global Events and Training Group, the programme has operated continuously since its inaugural ceremony. Its history is supported by a consistent record of events, documentation, and publicly verifiable sources. Our legacy is built on a foundation of brand clarity, integrity, and historical provenance.
The Evidence: A Legacy You Can Verify
Claims are easy to make; evidence is what matters. To ensure you are engaging with an established awarding programme with a documented history, we invite you to verify our 13-year history through the following pillars of authenticity:
1. Our Digital Archive & Evolution
While our primary digital headquarters is brillianceawards.co.uk and our international flagship programme is hosted on brillawards.com, our digital footprint began at boc-uk.com/awards—the official platform of our parent company. We transitioned to these dedicated standalone domains to provide a centralised hub for our growing global community and to maintain a verified record of our 13-year legacy.
- How to Verify: Use the Wayback Machine to view the historical records of boc-uk.com/awards dating back to 2014.
2. Genuine Documentation vs. AI Simulation
Every photograph and video in our archive represents a real-world event at prestigious venues like the Burj Al Arab, The Bentley Hotel, Le Méridien Piccadilly, Sheraton Grand London Park Lane and more.
- Our Promise: We do not use stock photography or AI-generated imagery to simulate a history we do not have. Our gallery is a record of real people, real winners, and real excellence.
3. Corporate & Trademark Transparency
We are a legally grounded, transparently operated programme.
- Parent Company: BOC Global Events and Training Group (UK Company No. 07660435).
- Trademarks: The International Brilliance Awards™ associated logos are registered trademarks.
- Social Media: Our Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn channels were all established in 2014. Creation dates are publicly visible on each platform.
- Brilliance Awards Ltd is a registered company in England and Wales — the formal corporate home of the Brilliance Awards™ programme family — owned by BOC Global Events and Training Group
Every one of these registrations is a matter of public record. Everything can be independently verified. That is what a legally grounded, transparently operated programme looks like.

If Someone Claims Otherwise — Here Is What to Check
The recognition industry is not regulated. Claims relating to history, longevity, and positioning can vary, and may not always be presented in a consistent or verifiable way.
To support informed decision-making, we encourage independent verification using publicly available sources:
Check the founding date independently
Do not rely solely on how a programme describes its own history. Tools such as the Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) allow you to review how a website appeared at different points in time.
Where there is a gap between a claimed founding date and the earliest available records, this may require further clarification.
Check the company registration
Search for the organising company on Companies House at companieshouse.gov.uk. When was the company incorporated? Has the company recently changed its name? A company that changed its name to its current identity recently is not the same as one that has been operating under that name since its claimed founding date. Check the full company history, not just the incorporation date.
Verify Social Media History & Engagement
Channel creation dates are publicly visible on most platforms. Where a programme presents a longer history, it can be helpful to compare this with the creation date and activity of its social media channels.
If there is a noticeable gap between a claimed history and the timing of public activity, this may warrant further clarification. Similarly, unusually rapid follower growth shortly after launch may be a sign of inflated audience numbers or growth that does not fully reflect organic development.
Check the winners’ lists
A programme with a genuine history will have published winners’ lists going back through every year it claims to have run, specifically named organisations that can be independently searched, found, and contacted. If the winners’ lists only go back a short time or if the named winners cannot be found independently, treat that as a significant red flag.
Check the ceremony photographs
Real events typically generate photographic or video records that reflect real venues, real participants, and real moments.
Where visual materials appear unusually uniform or lack contextual detail, it may be helpful to review them more closely. Tools such as reverse image search or AI image detection platforms (e.g. Hive Moderation) can be used as part of this verification process.
Check the Trademark Integrity
If a programme claims to own the trademark for the “Brilliance Awards,” it is essential to verify the validity of that claim through official channels. Search the UK Intellectual Property Office: Go to trademarks.ipo.gov.uk and search for the programme name.
Our Verification: The International Brilliance Awards™ logo is a registered trademark of BOC Global Events and Training Group (Blue Ocean Consultancy Ltd). Our legal standing is consistent with our documented history since 2014.
Ask what kind of programme it actually is
A business awards programme and a digital or physical certification programme are not the same thing, even if similar or overlapping naming has been used at different points in time.
Ask specifically: what does this programme recognise? Who enters it? What do winners receive? What industry professionals sit on the judging panel? The answers to these questions will help clarify whether you are looking at a business recognition programme or a different type of initiative operating under a similar name.
The 2027 Programme is Open
The 13th Annual International Brilliance Awards™. 28 January 2027. London.
The entry window is open. The deadline is 5 October 2026.
Why do we call it the Original Brilliance Awards™?
To the best of our knowledge, the oldest and longest-running Brilliance Awards programme operating in global business recognition was founded in 2014 by BOC Global Events and Training Group and has been operating without interruption since that founding year. Every element of that history is documented and independently verifiable. We call ourselves the original because the evidence supports that claim and because we invite anyone to verify it independently before accepting it.
How long have the Brilliance Awards been running without interruption?
Since 2014, 13 consecutive years of uninterrupted operation. We have held annual ceremonies in London every year since our founding, except in 2020, when the ceremony was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That is the only year the format changed. The programme itself has never been suspended, rebranded, or relaunched.
What makes the Brilliance Awards™ the original programme?
Three things. First, we were founded in 2014 and have operated continuously since that year under the same name, the same brand, and the same programme identity. Second, our founding, our corporate registration and our social media history all go back to 2014 and are independently verifiable through public records. Third, we are a global business recognition programme, which is what the Brilliance Awards has been since the day it was founded.
What should I do if another programme claims to be the original Brilliance Awards?
Apply the verification checks described on this page. Check their founding date using the Wayback Machine. Check their company registration and name history on Companies House. Check when their social media channels were created. Look for winners’ lists going back through every year they claim to have run. Check their trademark registrations. And ask specifically what kind of programme they are: a business awards programme and a Physical and digital certification scheme are not the same thing, regardless of what name either one uses.
Are the Brilliance Awards affiliated with any other programme?
No. The Brilliance Awards™ and International Brilliance Awards™ are operated exclusively by BOC Global Events and Training Group. They are not affiliated with any other awards programme, platform, or organisation operating under a similar name. Any programme using a similar name that is not explicitly listed at brillawards.com or brillianceawards.co.uk has no connection to our organisation, our history, our judging process, or our winner community.
What is the difference between the Brilliance Awards™ and a Physical digital certification programme?
They serve different purposes. The Brilliance Awards™ is a global business recognition programme celebrating achievement in areas such as business leadership, HR, internal communications, marketing, PR, and UK business excellence. A physical or digital certification programme typically focuses on assessing and accrediting learning outcomes in specific competencies.
The two operate in different contexts, serve different audiences, and provide different forms of recognition. The existence of programmes using similar naming in other sectors does not necessarily reflect the same type of activity within global business recognition.
How do I enter the Original Brilliance Awards™?

Where can I see photographs from past ceremonies?

Who operates the Original Brilliance Awards™?

Brilliance Awards Ltd is a registered company serving as the formal corporate home of the Brilliance Awards™ family brand.
